Yesterday I visited the European Parliament in Brussels. As you all might know, once a month the parliament moves from Brussels to Strasbourg for a week. This means that not only the people of the parliament, but also their complete office (documents, computers, etc.) will be moved to Strasbourg. This costs about 200 million euros each year, which is paid by the European taxpayers. A Dutch member of the EP pointed out to me that there’s a website www.oneseat.eu, where we, the citizens of the EU can sign a petition and if 1 million people have signed the petition, this subject has to be put on the official agenda of the EP. At this moment more than half a million people already signed the petition. If you also want to put an end to this waste of taxpayers’ money, please visit the website and vote.
